Julie-Ann Mills-Testi - March 2006 Grad

I am JulieAnn Mills–Testi, a vibrant, powerful, beautiful woman living in the present moment! This is who I am now since making the choice to live fully, using the WINGS seminars tools to unlock the real me.

Before WINGS seminars I was content dwelling on past pains and drudgery, thinking this was what being alive was about. Sometimes I even hid behind my disability. I was born with a disability called Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita. In other words, my nervous system never connected properly which caused the muscles not to develop and joints locked into position. Therefore, I cannot use my arms and hands and limited use of my legs/feet. Unable to use my arms and hands, I paint and write by holding a brush / pencil in my teeth. I do everything with my teeth, which also includes caring for my family and managing household duties.

Before PES I felt lost and confused. Many times I pretended to be alive by smiling, laughing, playing; at least I tried to convince myself of my false truth. My husband, Anthony, took PES at WINGS and in my opinion he glowed from the experience. I was jealous of his happiness, yet refused to try PES. I've been-there-done- that: retreats, counseling, whatever. He said, "Julie, I don't think you need PES but you would love it." So with sarcasm I said, "if God wants me to go to PES, God would have to pay for it". (Anthony was out of work and finances were tight). I thought I was funny and laughed. The funny thing about God is that when there is a challenge, God wins! Next thing I knew I got a scholarship, which paid for PES. I guess God wanted me to go. Hesitantly I went to the March 2006 PES.

At first I was going through the motions. Then a subject was brought up that rocked my world. I was not willing to hear what was being said so I left for an hour or so trying to figure out how to quit and go home. But instead of quitting, I came back to PES. I chose to change my world. I learned that I have choice in everything I do.

That Saturday night I shared with my husband that I thought that I was dead, a walking corpse. But now I choose to be alive. At midnight I asked God to come into my heart and a bright light filled the bedroom. I felt peace! For I was blind but now I see. I was lost but now I'm found. I was dead but now I am vibrantly, orgasmically alive!

I knew that I had to take Cross Over soon, before my birthday in April. I asked God for a birthday present: "Please pay for CrossOver. Don't stop this learning, I choose life". Within 2 weeks another scholarship was offered; "CrossOver, March 2006, here I come". In CrossOver I created my contract with myself: I am a vibrant, powerful, beautiful woman living in the present moment! March 25, 2006.

Since PES and CrossOver I have unlocked the woman within and great events have occurred. My life with my husband and children has grown in faith and love. As an artist I have sold more paintings now than ever before! After 2 attempts to join the Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists of the World, I was accepted to the USA group. The benefits of being hired by MFPA are I get paid to do art, which enables me to hire an assistant to assist me with my art and personal care.

I knew I had to complete the process of WINGS. In the Fall of 2006 I participated in LifeWorks and was able to pay for LifeWorks with my art money. I'm working hard learning to be the person God created me to be. I'm experiencing my hearts desires, creating a world I choose to live in. I have been on TV and in a magazine to inspire others. I became a member in a few art galleries in the area. I've exhibited my art in local galleries, libraries, and cafes. I volunteer at my kid's school, and created murals in the school. I volunteered my time at a hospital to help children who've become disabled due to accidents.
I learned that I have choice. By living in choice I am living my dreams, hopes, and desires. I am able to touch my world and the people in it.
