I was over sixty when I took the Personal Effectiveness Seminar. I’d been involved with personal growth work for thirty-five years and felt myself far too advanced to take what I imagined to be a beginner level seminar. But a close friend had what was clearly a transformative experience in PES, and I was curious about was going on there.

PES was so much more impactful than I’d expected, providing four long days to study myself as I reacted to and participated in a series of structured experiences, led by a masterful guide, Kris King. I learned an astonishing amount and rediscovered things that I’d once known but had forgotten over the years. And I was not the only one. Every participant in the seminar appeared to make huge leaps of person growth over the four days. I’ve been a teacher most of my life, and I’d never experienced such a hot-house learning environment.

I couldn’t remember being more inspired. My wife of thirty years saw my glow and took PES. Following her graduation we enrolled together in Crossover and graduated from Life Works in 2001. We agree that it’s the best money we’ve ever spent on ourselves.

Since then, several times a year, I take the opportunity to repeat those hothouse experience of PES or Crossover as a member on a back-up team or support staff, and every time I’m re-inspired. Every time I discover that I am still a learner, and every time I make new friends. I’m so grateful to Wings for the opportunity to contribute to the promotion of peace, and justice and harmony in the world.
